Dino speaks italian

Dino is italian.
I don't speak italian.
Dino doesn't speak french.
But we talked together.

It wasn't the first time i saw Dino.
I didn't know his name before.
I knew where he used to live.
It was the first time we talked together.

Dino was sitting on a bench, with two big bags on his big belly, as usual.

Dino smokes a lot. Dino smoked all my cigarettes.
Dino told me about an old farm in Italy.
In Piedmont.
It was his grandfather's farm. After it was his father's farm. Now it's Dino's farm.

Dino travelled a lot. During many years.
Dino didn't go back to Piedmont so Dino wasn't not sure it was still his farm.

Dino loses a bit his memory.
Dino is old now.
He couldn't tell me the name of the place.
He told me he still knew the path to his farm.

Dino wanted to go back to Piedmont.
Dino asked me for the way to the train station.
I drew a map.
Dino told me that he had some money left.
Dino told me that he needed more for the travel.
He asked me for 30 euros.
I gave him 30 euros.

He told me "grazie".
I understood.
I asked him if he had enough money for the train.
Dino didn't know.
He told me that he would walk to Italy if not.

I bought some cigarettes too. For him and for me.
Dino smokes a lot. Me too.

Dino told me he had to go.
We said goodbye to each other.
Dino stood up, with his two big bags on his big belly, as usual.
We shaked hands.
We said goodbye again.

Dino went on his way.

I felt that i lost a friend.

When i came back here in Paris, after 15 days away, i searched Dino.
I know where he used to live.
I didn't find him.
I searched him during the last days.
I didn't find him.

I hope he reached Italy.
I hope he reached his farm.
I don't know where it is.
Dino loses his memory.
Dino couldn't tell me the name of the place.

I hope he's there now.

If somebody goes to Piedmont.
If somebody meets Dino.
In his farm.

Don't tell him of me.
Give him cigarettes.
If you don't smoke, buy some.
