Wow.. I was touched by this photograph.. the sensation of loneliness and it seems that, among the whole silence I heard when I saw this photograph, there's someone screaming loud "please talk to me".
Very well expressed and a very well deserved feature!!

This is such an incredible shot. Technically, it's got a perfect composition and frame, and the grain really adds to the feeling of the subject. I have no idea what the media in the background is supposed to be advertising, but it makes for such a strong concept in this photograph. The sitting man seems desperate and nervous, twitching his hands and shifting in his seat. The immense and glamorous face looking over his shoulder with her pretentious high-fashion stares directly past, piercing him with her elitist image. Very nice capture, my friend.

It's an advertising for a huge shop (Galeries Lafayette).

This is the best comment i've read for a while. Thanks a lot for your interest.

I don't know if the graininess was intended to be there but I like it. XD

I'm addicted to graininess (it comes from the times when i worked with film). But here it wasn't intentional. Subway's poor light and i never use flashlight...

Thanks for your comment.

Perfect moment! :D
 I really don't know what to say about this
except to congratulate you for your good luck and ingenius capture. Heh

However, is the grain intentional?
Because I personally feel that the photo is a bit too grainy...
Especially on the man.
A little grain would do nice; but this is a bit distracting when I full view it.

Nevertheless, this shot is still amazing. :)

Thanks for your comment.

I like grain (an addiction from the time when i worked with film) so i use it a lot.

In this case, it wasn't intentional. Poor light (it was in the subway), white background...
I tried to correct it, on the man first, but details are lost... and there is few of them.

I'll work again on it.

Thanks again.

This is a superb photograph that reminds me of the "found image" seen in Henri Cartier-Bresson's work.

I really like the interaction between the man and his surroundings.

Thanks for this great compliment though i think i should work more on this picture.

I don't know this photography of Cartier-Bresson, if you have some link so that i can see it, feel free to share it!

Cartier-Bresson was one of the most important photojournalists and photographers in France following the war. I guess my comment was a bit misleading, I was not referring to a particular image of his, but rather the ideology he held about street photography and his ability to go out and find images, rather than create them as most of his contemporaries were doing. That is what made his work so revolutionary, and what I was beginning to see in your photograph above.

One of his more famous images that I associate with this style can be seen here:[link]
And if you are not familiar with his work you can look here for an essay about his styles and impacts on the photography world: [link]

Thanks for the information and for the link to Cartier-Bresson's picture. I knew him already but i didn't find his picture in my books and on the web.

I'll also have a look on the essay. Anyway, i completely agree with you about his work. With Brassaï and Atget, Cartier-Bresson was one of the most innovative and exceptional photographer and has still a lot of influence.

Thanks again.
